Iris Douglas is an accomplished energy healer and realignment instructor, whose journey is as inspiring as it is transformative. Born in the Dominican Republic, Iris brings warmth and resilience woven through every chapter of her life. Now 62 years old, she is proud to be married to Bill Douglas, a devoted mother to two accomplished daughters, and a loving grandmother to two spirited boys and one little girl.
Raised in Washington Heights, Iris grew up surrounded by the vibrant culture and community of New York City. Her life as a single mother raising two daughters imbued her with strength, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her family's well-being. For 22 years, Iris dedicated herself to the medical field, nurturing countless lives with her care and professionalism.
Her career journey continued as she transitioned into the corporate world. Successfully contributing for 15 years before her path led her to a profound discovery: the healing power of energy work. Twelve years ago, Iris began practicing Reiki, igniting a passion that would shape the next phase of her life. Certified as a Reiki Master in the Usui tradition and Kundalini Reiki Grand Master, she has become a beacon of healing within her community.
Iris’ experience is both rich and varied, including four years in sales at Raymour and Flanigan and entrepreneurship as the owner of her own wellness center. Her dedication to holistic health is reflected in her ongoing practice of Kundalini Yoga, which she seamlessly integrates into her healing sessions and teachings.
As the creator of The Hudson Valley Holistic Healing Center in Dutchess County, Iris has established a sanctuary for those seeking physical, emotional, and spiritual balance. She passionately teaches Kundalini Yoga Movements, meditation, breathwork, and sound healing, weaving these transformative practices into her sessions to empower others. Her mission is to guide individuals on a journey toward reclaiming their well-being, drawing on her years of experience, deep empathy, and unwavering belief in the restorative power of energy.
